About Steve

I'm not an influencer. I'm a driver.

Steve O'Connor is a professional HGV and recovery driver, fitness enthusiast, endurance athlete and coach who understands first-hand the challenges of staying fit and mentally healthy while working for a living.

"I don't want to tell drivers how to live. I want to show them what's possible while living the same life."

Why Trucker PT Exists

I understand because I'm doing the job too.

Steve isn't standing outside a truck pretending to understand the lifestyle. He is actually doing the job — building Trucker PT while working, training and taking on endurance challenges.

He's building it because professional drivers deserve fitness and wellbeing advice designed around their real lives. Not six-day gym programmes. Not unrealistic diets. Not "no excuses" motivational nonsense.

Advice that works around:

  • Long shifts
  • Night work
  • Early starts
  • Limited equipment
  • Motorway services
  • Truck-stop food
  • Poor sleep
  • Fatigue
  • Loneliness
  • Stress
  • Family separation
  • Lack of time

Endurance

Fitness isn't about being perfect. It's about finding out what you're capable of.

Steve has taken on major endurance challenges, including ultra-distance events and his ongoing Challenge48 project — 48 marathons, 48 counties, 48 peaks. It's proof that he doesn't simply talk about fitness. He lives it.

Work & Training, Side By Side

The boots and the trainers travel together.

That's the whole idea. You don't stop being a driver to get fit — you build fitness into the life you already have. One choice at a time. No zero days.
