Trucker PT

Fitness for the body.
Resilience for the mind.
Built for life on the road.

Fitness and wellbeing for people who spend their working lives behind the wheel.

Built by a driver. For drivers.

The Problem

The job is tough. Looking after yourself shouldn't be impossible.

Professional driving can make looking after yourself difficult. Long hours. Long periods sitting. Poor sleep. Night shifts. Service station food. Stress. Isolation. Little time. Little equipment.

And over time, short-term comfort can become the default. We understand why it happens — because we live it too.

Trucker PT exists to make the healthier choice easier.

Meet The Trucker PT

"I drive trucks. I train. I run. I struggle. I learn. And I'm figuring out how to make fitness and wellbeing work in the real world."

Steve O'Connor is a professional HGV and recovery driver, fitness enthusiast, endurance athlete and coach. He's spent his career around logistics, transport and driving — from RAF logistics to European transport management and years behind the wheel. He understands first-hand what the job does to your body and your mind.

He started Trucker PT because drivers deserve advice designed around their real lives — not six-day gym programmes, unrealistic diets, or "no excuses" nonsense.

The Trucker PT Philosophy

Don't aim for perfect. Aim for better.

You don't have to become a fitness fanatic. You're already working hard. Trucker PT helps professional drivers look after their body, mind and wellbeing while doing the job.

No Zero Days

No Zero Days doesn't mean exercising every day. It means doing one thing today that moves you forward.

  • A workout
  • A walk
  • A better meal
  • Drinking more water
  • Getting some sleep
  • Five minutes to reset
  • Calling someone
  • Talking about how you're feeling
  • Or simply recovering properly

Make the next choice a better one.

The Five Pillars

Look after the whole driver.

Move

Strength. Fitness. Mobility. Movement that fits between deliveries, not the other way round.

Eat

Practical nutrition for life on the road — including what to pick at motorway services.

Recover

Sleep. Fatigue. Mobility. Rest. Because the job doesn't work if you don't.

Mind

Stress. Mental resilience. Motivation. Loneliness. Your mind matters too.

Connect

Family. Friends. Community. Other drivers who understand the life.

Driver Strong

Your wellbeing coach. In your pocket. Built for the road.

Driver Strong is being built specifically for professional drivers. It asks four simple questions — how much time do you have, where are you, what equipment do you have, how are you feeling — then builds a realistic plan for today.

  • Personalised workouts
  • Cab workouts
  • Truck-stop workouts
  • Gym programmes
  • Nutrition guidance
  • Motorway-service food choices
  • Shift-aware training

What Can I Do Today?

It doesn't tell you to train harder. It helps you make the right choice.

Worked a 12-hour night shift and slept badly?

"Today is a recovery day."

Got a day off, slept well and feel good?

"Let's train."

Mental Resilience

Your body matters. Your mind matters too.

Professional driving can be lonely. Long hours away from home. Stress. Pressure. Fatigue. Financial worries. Relationship pressures. Difficult days. Trucker PT includes practical mental wellbeing and resilience tools, built around real life on the road.

Trucker PT is not a medical or psychological treatment service. It is designed to support wellbeing and encourage drivers to seek appropriate professional help when needed.

  • Daily mood check-ins
  • 5-minute resets
  • Breathing exercises
  • Guided decompression
  • Journalling
  • “What's bothering me?” exercises
  • “What can I control?” exercises
  • Connection prompts
  • Trusted contacts
  • Mental resilience challenges
  • Signposting to professional support
